Strengthening Leadership and Collective Capacity

About Continue‑Us

Continue‑Us™ emerged from a recurring observation across years of leadership and system level work.
Growth often stalls not because people lack potential, but because the conditions needed to sustain it are fragmented or missing.
Instead of treating leadership development as a series of isolated events, Continue‑Us™ focuses on strengthening capacity across individuals, teams, and systems in connected and reinforcing ways.
This work is grounded in a core principle:
Leadership is not assigned based on performance, authority, or personality. It emerges when people, relationships, and systems are strong.
Our Story
Across decades of work in education and system level leadership, one pattern became clear.
People were often promoted into positions of influence before the relational and structural capacity needed to sustain that influence had been strengthened.
Organizations invested in training.
Initiatives were launched.
Momentum built, then faded.
Not because people lacked commitment or potential.
But because growth was treated as a series of isolated events rather than an interconnected system.
The Growth Continuum™ emerged from this lived observation and to create a more coherent, human centered approach to strengthening capacity across people, teams, and systems.
Our Purpose
We exist to help people uncover their strengths, grow with purpose, and create meaningful impact in their work, lives, and communities.
We believe people flourish when they feel seen, supported, and strengthened in the work they carry every day.
When individuals grow in clarity and confidence, collaboration deepens.
When collaboration deepens, workplaces become more respectful, resilient, and responsive.
This is the heart of Lift Before You Lead™, strengthening people first so leadership can emerge as a natural expression of collective growth.

Our Philosophy - Lift Before You Lead
Leadership is not a title.
It is the natural result of strong individuals, aligned teams, and responsive systems.
Lift Before You Lead™ reflects this philosophy. Strengthening people first so leadership can emerge with clarity, confidence, and collective impact.
About the Founder
Corie Schweertman brings more than twenty years of experience across classrooms, community partnerships, and provincial initiatives. Her work centers on practical capacity building, relational leadership, and designing sustainable systems that support collective growth.
Across roles including educator, consultant, supervisor, manager, director, faculty member, and organizational leader, she observed a consistent pattern. People were often asked to carry influence before the relational and structural capacity needed to sustain that influence had been strengthened.
Her academic work, including a Master of Leadership and Community Engagement, deepened what lived experience had already revealed: growth is relational, development is contextual, and meaningful change occurs when people feel seen, supported, and connected.
Continue Us™ and The Growth Continuum™ emerged from this lived and learned experience, integrating practice, research, and applied partnership.

Vision Forward
Continue-Us™ will continue expanding The Growth Continuum™ as a practical framework for building sustainable capacity across sectors.
Through structured programs, system partnerships, and ongoing refinement, we are committed to ensuring this work remains responsive, measurable, and rooted in human flourishing.
The long-term aim is simple: to support organizations in embedding growth practices that endure beyond any single initiative or engagement.
The Framework Behind the Work
The Growth Continuum™ brings structure to our philosophy, strengthening awareness, skill, resilience, and system alignment through interconnected cycles rather than isolated initiatives.
Who We Serve
We partner with leaders, teams, and organizations across education, health, community services, and other human-centered systems navigating complexity and change.
