The Vision Behind Continue-Us

Below, circle and hands of business peop

Continue-Us™ was born from more than two decades of working alongside educators, leaders, professionals, and organizations committed to supporting others.

Throughout my career, I had the privilege of working across education, workforce development, and community services. Regardless of the setting, I noticed a common pattern. People were working incredibly hard, deeply committed to their work, and genuinely wanting to make a difference.

Yet many were carrying increasing pressure, navigating constant change, and trying to support others while having little opportunity to pause, reflect, connect, or grow themselves.

I became increasingly curious about what helps people thrive.

Not simply as leaders, but as people.

That curiosity led me to explore the relationship between workplace conditions, professional growth, leadership, and collective capacity. It also led me to create Continue-Us™.

Today, Continue-Us™ exists to create meaningful opportunities for reflection, connection, and growth within professional communities. Through experiential learning, shared dialogue, and collective exploration, the work invites people to reconnect with their strengths, learn from one another, and contribute in ways that feel sustainable and meaningful.

While the experiences and frameworks continue to evolve, the purpose remains simple:

To help create environments where people feel supported, connected, and capable of growing together.

About the Founder

Corie Schweertman, MLCE, BASc (Hons), RECE brings more than twenty-five years of experience across education, workforce development, leadership, community partnerships, and organizational systems.

Throughout her career, she worked alongside professionals, teams, and organizations deeply committed to making a difference. Across sectors and roles, one observation continued to emerge:

People are often being asked to lead in conditions that do not support leadership.

Not because they lack commitment, talent, or potential, but because the pressures, expectations, and realities of the workplace can make growth difficult to sustain.

This observation became the foundation for Continue-Us™, Lift Before You Lead™, and The Growth Continuum™.

Today, Corie's work brings together reflective practice, facilitation, systems thinking, leadership development, and community collaboration to help people, teams, and professional communities strengthen connection, build shared capacity, and create the conditions where collective growth can thrive.
